Amazon Releases KF8 Tools With HTML 5 Support
Amazon sent an email to publishers this week announcing that the Kindle Publisher Tools with Kindle Format 8 (KF8) support is now available for download.
The new toolset offers support for varying eBook formats including HTML5 and CSS3. KF8 titles are available on the Kindle Fire. Amazon announced the news tools back in November, but this is the first time that they have been widely available.
In the email, KF8 explains more about the update: “KF8 adds over 150 new formatting capabilities, including drop caps, numbered lists, fixed layouts, nested tables, callouts, sidebars and Scalable Vector Graphics – opening up more opportunities to create Kindle books that readers will love.
