REPORT: Amazon Is Next Up For Facebook Exchange

Real-time ad-bidding platform Facebook Exchange is on the verge of becoming a lot more crowded, as Friday’s announcement that Google’s DoubleClick Bid Manager (formerly Invite Media) will participate in FBX was followed by a report by AdExchanger that online retail giant Amazon will follow suit.

Sources told AdExchanger that Amazon and its demand-side platform, Amazon Advertising Platform, will gain access to FBX, but Amazon and Facebook both refused comment.

AdExchanger pointed out that Amazon traditionally plays it close to the vest with its user data, adding that its massive trove of purchasing data allows it to target ads to its users based on their actual buying histories.

Readers: Do you think Amazon will be a part of FBX and, if so, what are your thoughts on the combination?
