Allison & Partners has been chosen by the California Travel & Tourism Commission to handle the PR for the organization’s “Royal Summer” and “Three Days Isn’t Enough” campaign. The account is being managed by publicists in the firm’s L.A. and San Francisco offices targeting both national and regional media.
The campaign is based on this weekend’s three-day visit by the new Duke and Duchess (Wills and Kate, as I call them). Among the travel plans are a number of charitable functions and a stop on Skid Row. The LAPD has already warned the paparazzi to mind their p’s and q’s while the royal couple is in town, which has got them complaining about how unfair it is that they can’t be dangerous nuisances the whole time.
