Alexander Hitchen Joins New York Daily News

Alexander Hitchen is joining The New York Daily News as photo director managing editor, pictures. Capital New York reports that Hitchen will succeed Gretchen Viehmann, who left the paper in November of last year. Hitchen comes to the Daily News from the National Enquirer, where he has worked since 2004.

Hitchen will likely fit right in at the Daily News. He is most known for being part of the team that broke the story of John Edwards’ affair in 2008.
