Alex Pappas Joins the Washington Examiner

He comes over from The Daily Caller.

Beginning Monday, Alex Pappas will be breaking news editor at the Washington Examiner. He joins from The Daily Caller, where he has been senior political reporter.

“Alex is a superb political journalist with fine news judgment, and he’s a great fit for us as we strengthen and accelerate our coverage of big and breaking stories,” said editorial director Hugo Gurdon in a statement. “Alex is one of several new hires coming to Washington Examiner in the next few months, and he’s an excellent one.”

This marks a return to the Examiner for Pappas, who previously had a six-month stint there between 2010 and 2011, when he served as a reporter covering Prince Georges County. “I’m honored to join the top-notch group of journalists at the Washington Examiner and look forward to contributing to their coverage of news and politics,” Pappas said in a statement. “I’ve always admired the Examiner’s journalism and am eager to get started.”
