Alas Poor Yorick, er Thor

The latest version of a Marvel comic to hit screens may now by the illustrious “Thor,” directed by no less than Shakespearean expert Kenneth Branagh . The director is apparently, according to Variety, in talks to handle the project. The closest Branagh has ever come to this type of material was his very bloody version of “Henry V.” Maybe it will bring new meaning to the Norse god in iambic pentameter.
In the meantime, it will possibly mean a union for Branagh with Paramount Pictures, which just signed a deal with Marvel Entertainment to handle the next five action-hero films that it puts out based on its characters.
