Airline Social Media Outlook 2015: Budget, Challenges and Metrics

63 percent of airline executives say that their social media budget is likely to rise in 2015, but three in five still feel that there is an insufficient allocation of resources to platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, reveals a new study.

In their Airline Social Media Outlook 2015 report, Simpliflying found that insufficient resources, organisational structure and lack of budget were the biggest challenges facing airline executives in their social strategy.

Two in five respondents (40 percent) hoped to see a 25 percent increase in their social media budget for 2015, and 87 percent want to use social media data to develop further customer insights and integration.
