Desperate times call for fabulous measures. The City of New York has turned to apartment-swapping destination Airbnb to find free shelter for New Yorkers who are still without power on the eve of yet another storm.

Previously, Airbnb had waived its own listings fee to cut costs for stranded Sandy victims. Now they’re calling on the good citizens of New York City to open their doors for free. At the time of this post, 128 generous people had already volunteered.
