Oh dear, oh dear.
In a very SaveTheChildren-esque (or Sally Struthers-esque, if you prefer) video, Slate V suggests we buy newspapers anyway, “even though nobody wants to read them.” We’re told that “For just pennies a day, you can feed, clothe, and shelter a newspaper reporter. We’ll send you the name, bio, and snail mail address of the newspaper professionals you’re supporting.”
Look at those sad eyes!
As Mediaite says, they really nailed the details here. In other words, “Ha ha ha, it’s funny because it’s true, and I laugh because it HIDES THE PAIN.”
