It’s a good week for big publishers on iOS. Activision conquered the top of the paid iOS app charts this week, taking the No. 1 spot on both iPad and iPhone with Wipeout, a game based on ABC’s television show. Warner Brothers’ also had an impressive debut this week with Bastion, which was a console and PC downloadable game before it released on iPad where it is currently at the No. 3 spot. Finally, Electronic Arts’ 80 percent discount on its iOS catalogue for Labor Day weekend helped many of its games climb the charts, with MADDEN NFL 12, FIFA SOCCER, The Sims 3, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR and others all placing in the top 25 spots.
