Active Interest Media Offers Staff Promotions Now That It’s Acquired Every Bit Of Horse-Related Media Ever

aim_logo_2.25.10.jpgAfter acquiring pretty much every equine-related magazine and website that exists, Active Interest Media is promoting among its staff. Yes: Horses will save print media!

A full rundown of who’s what where now, after the jump.


Tom Winsor, who was formerly president of the Horse Media Group, will now serve as general manager of AIM’s new Equine Network.

Bill Garrels, publisher of American Cowboy magazine, and David Andrick, the former associate publishing director for Source Equine Network, have both been promoted to group publishers of the AIM Equine Network.

Jenny DesJean, AIM’s circulation director, has the added task of overseeing circulation for AIM’s newly acquired Spin to Win, Rodeo, and TrailRider.

Jonathan Dorn, editor-in-chief of AIM’s Backpacker magazine, is now general manager of AIM’s Outdoor Group, which includes Backpacker, National Parks Interactive, and SNEWS (Specialty News) Backpackers‘s publisher, Kent Ebersole, has been promoted to group publisher.

Production director Barbara Van Sickle now takes on the role of group production director, managing print production for both AIM’s Equine Network and the Outdoor Group.

Cheryl Angelheart, former publisher of Black
Belt
magazine, is now group publisher of the Black Belt and Vitamin Shoppe Muscle & Performance brands.
