Active Interest Media (AIM), a relatively young company focused on enthusiast magazines, has added Equine Network and Horse Media Group to its growing stable of special interest print and online publications.
AIM currently produces such publications as Backpacker, Country’s Best Log Homes and Yachts International, among many others, as well as “over 75 martial arts, videos and books, including several by the legendary Bruce Lee.”
More horsing around, after the jump.
With this move, AIM has effectively acquired all equine titles formerly published by the Source Interlink Media division of Source Interlink Companies, Inc, including Arabian Horse World, Discover Horses, Dressage Today, EQUUS, EquiManagement, Horse & Rider and Practical Horseman, as well as online properties DiscoverHorses.com, Equisearch.com, Equine.com and HorseBooksEtc.com.
AIM has also acquired Spin to Win Rodeo and Trail Rider in addition to MyHorse.com, HitchUpMagazine.com and
HorselinkMagazine.com from Horse Media Group.
Current AIM property American Cowboy magazine and website will join the newly-formed “AIM Equine Network.”
With all these acquisitions and restructuring, AIM finds itself with over 700,000 new readers and 600,000 unique visitors to its new online properties per month. And, in this economy, (last one, promise) who’d say neigh to that?
