ABC News Digital Reorganizes Leadership

ABC News Digital is reorganizing its senior leadership, according to an email from senior VP of digital Paul Slavin. Slavin announced that Jon Dube, VP of ABCNews.com, decided to take one of the buyouts that ABC News offered employees earlier in the year, and will be leaving ABC in July. As a result, the company has changed its senior leadership to reflect the new structure. Andrew Morse has been named executive producer of integration and innovation, where he will be charged with working with broadcast producers to develop integration ideas across the television and digital products. Morse was most recently executive prodcuer of "Good Morning America Weekend," a position which was eliminated when ABC News restructured in April. Ed O'Keefe has been promtoed to executive producer of ABCNews.com, and will report to Morse. O'Keefe joined the company last August as senior producer for innovation and special projects. Elizabeth Barrett has been named VP of mobile, broadband and operations for ABC News Digital, reporting to Slavin. She had been an executive director. Slavin also noted two promotions in the Disney/ABC Digital Media group, led by Albert Cheng. Those promotions are in the email Slavin sent to staffers earlier today, which is after the jump. In his new role he will be responsible for audience growth, editorial content, and production of our site. Working closely with the whole digital team he will be responsible for redesigning our site and keeping it in close affinity with our programs. Elizabeth Barrett has been promoted to Vice President of Mobile, Broadband, and Operations for ABC News Digital and will report to me. Elizabeth will continue to oversee the planning, business strategy, production, and operations of the ABC News Mobile and Broadband businesses, in addition to the Operations and Design & Photo departments for ABCNews.com, ABC News Now, ABC News Video-on-Demand, and other emerging platforms and devices. I am also pleased to announce two promotions from the Disney/ABC Digital Media Group headed by Albert Cheng. Albert's team works hand-in-hand with the ABC News Digital department and is essential to our success. Isaac Josephson has been promoted to Vice President of Product Development reporting to Karin Timpone, SVP of Marketing and Product Strategy. Isaac will oversee product management, project management, and analytics for ABC News Digital Ã¢â‚¬" three disciplines that ensure we are doing right by both the business and the users. Stacy Damiani has been promoted to Director of Marketing, also reporting to Karin Timpone. Stacy will oversee the digital marketing strategy of all ABC News Digital products including ABCNews.com, mobile, broadband, and emerging platforms. He's also worked on innovative partnerships with social media sites and online publishers. We're thankful for his dedication and leadership and wish him well.
