$5,000 Top Prize for Gannett Foundation’s Al Neuharth Award for Investigative Journalism

The Gannett Foundation’s Al Neuharth Award for Investigative Journalism is seeking investigative reporters who broke ground in the past year.

The award focuses on groundbreaking work by a journalist or a staff that incorporated the use of digital tools while serving as a community’s watchdog. Special consideration will be given to journalism that helped a community to grasp and address important issues.

The top prize winner will receive $5,000 and will be invited to join Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and the 2014 national Edward R.
