4 Influential Women in Media on How the Industry’s Changing and How Far It Has to Go

'If nobody speaks up, nothing changes'

Last Wednesday, Adweek held its inaugural Women in Media event, a celebration of our annual Women’s Issue, on the Hornblower Infinity yacht. The party, which was attended by over 1,000 guests, featured a veritable who’s who of women in the media world.

The cover stars from this year’s Women’s Issue—Allure’s Michelle Lee, DDB’s Wendy Clark, A+E Networks’ Nancy Dubuc and GE’s Katrina Craigwell—were all in attendance. MSNBC’s Kate Snow was on hand to host the event, and Bebe Rexha performed.

During the event, we got the chance to sit down with Wendy Williams, Cindy Gallop and Nancy Reyes, to chat about what they’re seeing now for women in their industries and what they’d like to change. Check out the conversation.
