Nordstrom is hiring a social media manager for its beauty division, a job that we’d immediately file in our “must apply” folder. However, for those of you who are on the fence, we’ve come up with three good reasons why you should consider sending your resume into the fashion retailer.
1. You’d be working for the cream of the crop. Nordstrom was named one of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2011. Not does the 110-year-old company boast impressive revenue numbers, but its dedication to customer service and employee satisfaction is exemplified by its credo: “Use good judgment in all situations.”
2. You’ll be a part of a growing social community. Right now, @NordstromBeauty has a respectable 8,500 followers, but compare that to @Nordstrom‘s 126,000 followers and you can see that there’s plenty of room for growth. Thankfully, you’ll have many built-in resources, as well as your expertise to help increase the beauty division’s social reach.
3. You get to talk about makeup all day long. At the end of the day, you should do what you love and love what you do. Being passionate about social media is important, but those who are also enamored with beauty products will hit a home run by landing this gig.
