17 Million Mobile TV Viewers in Asia

More than 17 million consumers in Asia tuned into mobile TV last year, Asia Media Journal reports. Subscriber growth is attributed to platforms with a mix of free and pay models in Korea and Japan, the two largest markets in Asia, as well as new service launches in Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

China, India, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan are all expected to launch new mobile TV services this year, according to the survey conducted by Asia Media Journal publisher Media Partners Asia (MPA).
