$16M Is Music to Facebook Developer RootMusic's Ears
The new sounds coming out of RootMusic, developer of Facebook music platform BandPage, include the closing of a $16 million funding round.
The new sounds coming out of RootMusic, developer of Facebook music platform BandPage, include the closing of a $16 million series-B funding round.
The funds will be used to improve the BandPage experience from both the fan and artist perspective.
GGV Capital led the latest funding round, along with new investor Northgate Capital and existing investor Mohr Davidow Ventures. RootMusic has now raised a total of $18.3 million. GGV partner Hany Nada was added to RootMusic’s board of directors, joining Bill Ericson from Mohr Davidow, and venture capitalists Larry Marcus and Robert Kavner.
