Universal roller-coaster ads are bumpy ride

There's a new roller coaster called Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at the Universal Studios theme park. Perhaps the creative team at David&Goliath was woozy from trying it out when they came up with this campaign for it, because the ads seem dizzy, though not in a good way. There's a rocker type named Syd Vinyl, who makes Ozzy Osbourne's performance with a chimp in that recent Samsung spot look good. I think the ape could manage a better Cockney accent, actually. There's also a nerdy guy called Eugene, who resembles a young Bill Gates. (The Microsoft CEO, however, was much worse in his spots with Jerry Seinfeld.) Syd and Eugene hold "brainstorming" sessions about the roller coaster. The ride does sound scary, but this campaign is frightening in its own right and equally capable of turning minds to mush.
