For some reason, this news item that both Pfizer and Microsoft are suing online purveyors of fake Viagra cracked us up. (Maybe it’s been a long week.) On the face of it, it’s certainly easy to understand why Pfizer would want to take illegal Viagra hawkers to court, but on Microsoft’s side, it somehow first brings to mind a whole bunch of socially-challenged computer programmers who, well, got taken by someone purporting to sell them some “help.”
In reality, they’re both trying to crack down on spammers who are flooding the emailboxes of men, women and other life forms with the promise of counterfeit prescription drugs.
