Canadian investment house Standard Life plays the percentages in a pair of spots from agency Marketel in Montreal that focus on two number-crunching finance drones. Their lives are stiflingly boring, just like mine, but they wear ties and, based on their constant calculations, leave very little to chance. The equation's a bit unbalanced, however, because we're never given a compelling reason to trust these guys with our money. Despite weird twists, like a dinosaur crashing onto a beach and a businessman riding an ostrich down a busy street, the spots just don't add up to much.
