When it mattered most in the playoffs during the past few seasons, the St. Louis Cardinals were nowhere to be found. Thus, we must question the team’s current advertising gimmick, in which two redbirds have literally gone “missing” from a billboard in St. Louis and will supposedly pop up all around town, delighting fans old and young alike. Schupp Co. in St. Louis is behind the campaign. We heard about it first on It’s All Advertising, which has this idea for making the world a better place: “I think it would be great if all boring billboards ripped themselves down and put themselves on one giant uber-lame billboard.
