Smashing Pumpkins are suing Virgin Records for using the band’s name and music in a "Pepsi Stuff" promotion with Amazon.com. The group claims its “artistic integrity” is at stake, but the whole thing is generating more press than their last five albums combined, so the lawsuit’s probably well worth the price of filing. (Maybe Virgin sued itself in an effort to build buzz and move some Pumpkins product. These guys haven’t been that popular lately—what’s a record label to do?) Check out the amps in that picture.
