Just when you thought libertarian Ron Paul’s presidential campaign wasn’t enough of a doomed, antiquated farce, some of his supporters have decided to fly a blimp from North Carolina to New Hampshire. Use of the blimp is also somehow meant to test campaign-finance laws, through the creation of a for-profit fundraising group, Liberty Political Advertising. The idea is to sell political ads that interested parties can sponsor instead of soliciting donations. So, essentially, the Ron Paul Blimp is an ad for future advertisements.
