This Geico spot has been out for a while, but it bears mentioning, as it stars R. Lee Ermey as a drill sergeant turned therapist (whose incompetence in his new job answers the Geico spokesman's rhetorical question about Geico at the beginning). Ermey is doubly perfect for the role: First, he actually was a U.S. Marine Corps drill instructor during the Vietnam War. And later, of course, he turned in a memorably frightening performance as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket. All that's missing, really, is Vincent D'Onofrio in the role of the patient. In other Geico news, check out a newer spot after the jump which Geico made in 15 minutes using the software Xtranormal.
