Premiere magazine has compiled what it thinks are the 25 best movie posters ever. Notable inclusions are Breakfast at Tiffany’s (at No. 18), in which Audrey Hepburn’s overexaggerated cigarette holder makes her look like she’s chewing on a stick; The Man With the Golden Arm (No. 14), which not only had the audacity to cast Frank Sinatra as a substance abuser but seemingly hired one to design their poster; and Attack of the Fifty Ft. Woman (No. 8), which has been disfigured in punk fliers since what seems like the dawn of time. Anatomy of a Murder is No. 1, which is somewhat anticlimactic after seeing the posters for Silence of the Lambs and Forbidden Planet, both of which are a lot more atmospheric. I’m a tad underwhelmed by Premiere’s list. But never fear, Something Awful will lift whatever doldrums that list threw me into. Via Movie Marketing Madness.
