New York is usually the one dumping on New Jersey, but roles were reversed last Thursday, when the Garden State brought a ton of sand to NYC’s Union Square and built a giant sand castle to celebrate the beginning of East Coast beach season. There are a couple of short videos here and here. Given gas prices today, New Jersey tourism chief Nancy Byrne might want to think of a better line than “New Jersey is a tank of gas away from millions and millions of people.”
