Monsters with gas upset television viewers

This Pepto-Bismol ad, with the gastrically aggrieved monsters, has been out for a while, but USA Today has finally subjected its Ad Tracker guinea pigs to it. Of course, 22 percent of them hated it (the preferred phrasing is “disliked it a lot”), although that’s only 9 percent more than the poll’s typical hated-it vote. Pepto’s brand manager stick by the ad, telling the paper that the “nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea” song just “rolls off your tongue” and “gets ingrained in your head.” And she means that as a good thing.
