Ann Kirsten Kennis, the model whose photo appears on Vampire Weekend's 2010 album Contra, has settled out of court with the band after suing for $2 million, saying the '80s Polaroid was used without her permission. The band blames a photographer named Tod Brody, who didn't take the picture but somehow came to be in possession of it. Brody was paid $5,000 for the image, according to court papers, but allegedly forged Kennis' signature on the release.
