Cleopatra bathed in milk, so its reputation as a "wonder tonic" for beauty isn't exactly new. But it's enjoying a resurgence at Macy's stores in California. Beginning last Friday, the retailer is welcoming beauty consultants hired by the California Milk Processor Board for an in-store "Beauty by Milk" campaign, sponsored by "Got milk?" and its Spanish-language counterpart, "Toma leche." The consultants will provide tips on how to keep your skin, hair and nails healthy, offer free virtual makeovers and serve milk-based drinks to customers. Grupo Gallegos, the milk board's Hispanic agency, conceived the idea.
