Zach Borst, a 26-year-old aspiring filmmaker from Floral Park, N.Y., has won Chevrolet's contest to have a consumer create one of its Super Bowl spots for the Feb. 5 game. The ad, posted below, features a high-school kid who mistakenly thinks his parents got him Camaro for graduation—rather than the actual gift of a college-dorm mini-fridge. Borst wins $25,000 and will see his commercial, which is somewhat irritating but not horrible (the 60-second version is horrible), air Feb. 5 during the big game. The General Motors division received 198 submissions, which it narrowed to 33 finalists in December before choosing Borst's spot. "My dad was a cop and worked real hard to be able to buy his kids their first cars," Borst says. "They were used, but mine meant the world to me. Then I wondered what it would look like if I got a brand new Camaro? I mean, after all, who wouldn't want a Camaro as a graduation gift?"
