Somehow we missed this when it happened in October, but it’s worth a mention: Virgin Media, with help from food artist Prudence Staite, created a 15-by-12-foot billboard in London made entirely of cheese. The ad, promoting the company’s broadband services, featured Speedy Gonzales, who’s a mouse—thus the cheese connection. It took Staite and 13 helpers eight days to create the billboard in a specially chilled studio. “I have been asked to craft many a strange thing in my time, but a cheese billboard certainly takes the biscuit, or should I say cracker!” Staite said.
