Felony convictions can be the jewel in a rap artist’s crown. Just ask C-Murder, who went to prison for, well, murder. But rapper Lil’ Kim’s perjury and conspiracy convictions, handed down Thursday, are decidedly not as bad-ass. After being found guilty of lying to investigators about a shooting outside a radio station four years ago, she was acquitted on a more serious charge of obstruction of justice (a phrase that would make a good album title, by the way, being that Kim’s group already put out a record called Conspiracy).
