Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition" is quite the popular song these days — among ad agencies, at least. It has so far been featured in ads for Chrysler, Rhapsody, the movie 500 Days of Summer, and most recently Diet Coke. As if that weren't enough, it has also been used in official conjunction with 90210, Greek, The Good Wife, and The Deep End. Some of the more attentive consumers are calling upon advertisers to find a new favorite song before this one attains sentience and enslaves humanity. But this isn't exactly the first time a song has been beaten into the ground. Hell, Coheed and Cambria managed to hustle "Welcome Home" into the trailer and soundtrack for the animated film 9, plus TV ads for Rock Band and the Versus sports channel. And let's not forget how many bouncy Motown songs have been ruined forever by similar overexposure. This happens all the time, so let's all just relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of that new Volkswagen commercial. Or maybe that Peugeot commercial. Whichever.
