Fáilte Ireland, the country's tourism division, is all excited about welcoming both Queen Elizabeth II and President Obama this month. But they hit a stumbling block while trying to capitalize through radio ads, which referred to the Queen as "Her Royal Highness." For the unfamiliar, that designation is for princesses. The Queen should be referred to as "Her Majesty." Oops! I doubt too many Irish are sympathetic to how the Queen of England should be addressed, but it does look bad when you're milking the publicity from her visit. But given the hundreds of nicknames British tabloids give everyone, I think Liz might understand the confusion.
