Hewlett-Packard has come out with this well-crafted and surprisingly scenic new spot for its Web-connected printers, which have gotten so powerful, they can make a baby haul ass across the desert like a genetically modified rabbit-panther. Usually, putting CGI kids together with outlandish visual metaphors would make for complete cheese, but I'd say this ad comes off quite a bit better than the sum of its parts. As our esteemed editor noted right away, the ad doesn't even insult viewers with a disclaimer. Which is too bad, since "Professional baby, closed course. Do not attempt" might actually make it more awesome.
