Google gets in the World Cup spirit

Googlesoccer To celebrate the start of the World Cup today, Google has this soccer logo up. Clicking on it initiates a search for 2006 world soccer. Perhaps they’ll change it every few days as the tournament progresses, like they did with the Olympics this past winter. The search engine has also created this groovy module for its personalized homepage users who want to track scores. Very cool. The first game, at noon EDT, is Germany vs. Costa Rica, followed by Poland vs. Ecuador at 3 p.m.
