This spot by Publicis Mojo for New Zealand clothing retailer Hallensteins pretty much fails on all fronts. Chiefly, it incurred the wrath of the country’s ad watchdog because it uses a Sleigh Bells song in which the phrase “dumb whore” features prominently. (The lyrics are: “Deaf chords, dead ends, sling set can’t meet their demands, dumb whores, best friends.”) To make matters worse, the ad aired during a broadcast of the G-rated Princess Diaries 2.
