Sapporo beer is reaching out to Canadians with a sassy new can and a new commercial from Dentsu in Toronto that touches on just about every Japanese cultural stereotype. They were just a Hello Kitty reference shy of getting everything. Sapporo has made gains in the Canadian marketplace over the years, and its 2006 purchase of Guelph's Sleeman Breweries Limited has given it a base in North America. I hope Sleeman's distilling process is more efficient than the one we see in the ad.
