Delta’s newest batch of cutesy ads seeks to bolster the national vocabulary with four new pieces of “Planeguage.” The new terms are “shady lady” (someone who adjusts her window shade constantly); “kidtastrophe” (annoying children); “middleman” (the guy in the middle seat who hogs both armrests); and “lavdance” (the physical difficulty of entering and exiting the bathroom). The first three already have a word that covers them (“assholes”), and the fourth isn’t something I’d advertise as a normal occurrence on my airline.
