Danish flying boob brigade: sexy or sexist?

Skydive

In a glorious celebration of the long struggle for gender equality, a new Danish ad features hundreds of women skydiving topless (safe for work, as long as your boss enjoys lots of flagrant nudity) to promote a great deal on washing machines. TechCrunch's Michael Arrington locked in his Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Organization for Women by calling the spot "quite simply the best commercial ever made." Cate Sevilla of BitchBuzz tended to disagree: "A commercial with one fully dressed man and a pack of women dressed in Lycra thongs who end up skydiving topless for no other reason than to give a bunch of dweebs hard-ons is offensive." The spot is from Danish e-retailer Fleggaard, which had already tried to win over shoppers by driving a stripper wagon through rural Scandinavia.
