Is it better horizontal? From San Francisco comes a solution to a problem that, frankly, we didn’t know was a problem.  Anyone who needs to be more aerodynamic in corduroys, here it is: cordarounds! These horizontally-striped corduroy pants put an end to the static electricity and crotch heat of vertically- lined cords. The makers told San Francisco radio station KFOG that they came up with the idea years ago, but design houses said it wouldn’t fly because horizontal stripes make people’s behinds look big.
