Entertainment Weekly believes Conan O'Brien's new owl ad for his upcoming TBS show is part of an owl renaissance among hipsters and creatives. But their only proof is the Owls of Ga'Hoole movie and some anecdotal jabbering. Now, if O'Brien chooses an owl instead of Andy Richter as his sidekick for the program, then maybe we have a notable cultural shift. Honestly, there's more to support Conan's beard being symptomatic of a hipster trend. Anyone who hangs around an indie record or bookstore will be assaulted by all manner of mossy chins.
