Did you know we’re in the middle of National Clean Hands Week? (No, don’t raise your hand if you did, it’s probably too filthy.) We are, which means it’s time for the Soap and Detergent Association to issue this year’s Clean Hands Report Card, based on a survey of American adults. The overall score is a non-gentleman’s C-. Among the factors contributing to this poor showing: 36 percent of respondents seldom or never wash their hands after coughing or sneezing, and 30 percent don’t always wash before eating lunch.
