Celebrities step up for World AIDS Day

Aids1This striking ad, leading readers to WeAllHaveAIDS.com, is the centerpiece of an insert in today’s New York Times, on the occasion of World AIDS Day. (Click to see a larger version.) Photographer Mark Seliger shot each celebrity separately in New York and Los Angeles during the summer (and made a special trip to South Africa to photograph Nelson Mandela). The resulting cement footprints are part of a public installation unveiled today in New York’s Bryant Park; it will move to a permanent location in the city after the holidays. To help the cause, you can buy “We All Have AIDS” and “I Have AIDS” T-shirts here.
