Sorry folks, it’s been one of those days—I meant to post this item hours ago when I got a bead on what Burger King was planning with its new ads downloadable to the video iPod. If you haven’t read it elsewhere, the ads are CGM, uh, consumer-generated media, for all of you who haven’t been paying proper attention to your groovy new-media acronyms lately; Heavy.com sent out about 25 King masks to frequent contributors and got roughly a dozen pieces of media back. If you want to see one, go to Heavy.com, and if you can make your way through the ads for Sprite, the Beavis and Butthead DVD collection and several movies (no one said that free content wouldn’t come at a price) click on "Free Downloads." In the middle, you’ll see a column devoted to BK. Click on King Gone Wild. BTW, Crispin, Porter + Bogusky hecklers/wannabes, the campaign was conceived by BK’s interactive shop, WPP Group’s VML.
