The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority this week is unveiling ultra-high-tech digital billboards here in Boston that supposedly produce weird special effects, like images wrapped around columns. My fear: This will send the city into a panic, much as the Aqua Teen Hunger Force campaign precipitated a bomb scare and a Dr Pepper promotion turned mild-mannered Bostonians into potential grave robbers. The MBTA’s first advertiser is the Garelick Farms dairy. So, please disregard any sightings of giant killer cows with glowing eyes.
