As we mentioned earlier, Nike hired Annie Leibovitz, who shot roughly every iconic celebrity photograph between 1970 and probably a minute ago, to photograph its fall 2011 print campaign. The theme, built around seven female sports figures, is "Make yourself," which the company says is meant to inspire women to "achieve their goals and become the best 'versions' of themselves." My guess is that these toned, photogenic athletes are pretty far along in that process.
