It struck me again on New Year’s Eve, while channel surfing and seeing how Regis would fare as Dick Clark’s stand-in: Why does ABC always insist on showing live video of people celebrating at Disneyland at midnight EST, when anyone who can tell time knows it’s only 9 p.m. out in Anaheim? Can’t they just show Florida’s Disney World and be done with it?

Yes, it’s time to state the obvious: ABC is owned by Disney.
