Yum! Gives Tracy Locke KFC Assignment

DALLAS Tracy Locke has gained additional field marketing chores for Yum! Brands, including its first promotional assignment for KFC, the shop said.

The Dallas agency, which began the year with a name change from Tracy Locke Partnership, picked up the assignment for KFC’s Dallas market earlier this month. Houston-based Rives Carlberg previously held the business. Rives could not immediately be reached for comment.

Tracy Locke already handles field marketing work for Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in Dallas. In the last two months it has picked up additional markets for those two brands.

In addition, the agency now leads field marketing for Pizza Hut in the Alabama cities of Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville and Montgomery; in Shreveport and Lake Charles, La.; and in Beaumont, Texas.

Through November 2003, KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut spent $250 million, $215 million and $215 million in total media expenditures, respectively, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The lead ad agencies of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are Foote Cone & Belding in Chicago, Foote Cone & Belding in San Francisco and BBDO in New York, respectively.
